Darren Collison Pulls Off Crazy Crossover

Just a few minutes into the game, former Arizona center Ayton got switched onto veteran point guard Collison after a pick-and-roll.

As Collison started to drive to his right down the lane, Ayton began to slide his feet in an effort to stay with him. But Collison stopped on a dime and crossed back over to the left, causing Ayton to roll over on his ankle and tumble.

It’s always impressive when an NBA player manages to literally knock an opponent off his feet with a surprising, last-minute trick move, but now Collison will be able to brag that he did it to the top overall pick in this year’s draft. Ayton was also named the 2018 Pac-12 Player of the Year and played in the 2017 McDonald’s All-American Game.

Entering Tuesday, 20-year-old Ayton was averaging 16.9 points and 10.4 rebounds per game and shooting 62 percent from the field. He ended the night with 11 points, 11 assists, and 5 rebounds.

Collision ended the night with 18 points and 12 rebounds that would push the Pacers to win 109 to 104.

Will we ever get to see a stunning move like this one from Collison again this season? Time will surely tell if he has it in him.
