Video Surfaces Of Conor McGregor Punching Man In Dublin Bar, Investigation Begins [VIDEO]

A video of UFC fighter Conor McGregor appearing to hit a man at a bar in Dublin surfaced online Thursday, thus prompting an investigation.

TMZ Sports — which reported the incident occurred on April 6 — released the clip, which at first shows the 31-year-old Irishman and lightweight champion serving drinks. The video then jumps to a few minutes afterwards and shows McGregor pumping his fist in the air before landing a blow on a seemingly elderly man sitting at the bar.

The clip then shows McGregor being escorted away from the man he attacked. The video includes no sound, although the Irish Mirror reported in April that McGregor’s punch followed a verbal dispute.

According to TMZ Sports, local police said they are still probing the incident and that no arrest has yet been made. TMZ also appeared to suggest the altercation started after McGregor attempted to buy rounds of his signature Proper Twelve whiskey for multiple bar patrons and the man the fighter punched seemed to refuse a drink.

IN MEMORIAM: SPORTS FIGURES WHO DIED IN 2019 TRIBUTE SLIDESHOW

This incident is the latest of several over the last year involving McGregor ending up in legal trouble for violent behavior.

In October, McGregor was involved in a physical altercation in Las Vegas following his loss by submission to Khabib NurmagomedovThe Nevada State Athletic Commission suspended the lightweight champion six months for that incident.

McGregor was also arrested in New York in April 2018 after he broke the window of a bus stationed outside the Barclays Center in Brooklyn by tossing a metal dolly through it. The Irishman took a plea deal that forced him to serve just five days of community service for the incident.

To add to all this, The New York Times reported in March that McGregor was being investigated for an alleged sexual assault in Ireland. McGregor has not been charged and there are no other updates in this case. The Irishman had announced his retirement from mixed martial arts amid the accusation, although many fans were quick to question whether the announcement was real. Also in March, the Irishman allegedly stole and smashed a fan’s phone, although the charges against him were dropped two months later.
