Nolan Arenado’s Amazing Catch Had To Hurt

There is a reason why third baseman Nolan Arenado has two gold gloves.

This could arguably be a prime candidate for catch of the year. Just with the way his body contorts after hitting the tarp, it is amazing that he was able to hold onto that ball. And on top of this, the awareness to instantly throw to third base for a potential double play is absolutely amazing.

Still, the Arenado catch has some ridiculous competition for play of the year. Between George Springer’s grand slam robbing grab and Adam Eaton fully extending in center field, the MLB is wonderfully in midseason form.
