New York Islanders Fan Reminisces About Conceiving Son In Nassau Coliseum Parking Lot

At yesterday’s New York Islanders versus New York Rangers game, a gleeful Islanders fan shared a little bit too much information about her family. Joy Rosen, a supposed longtime Long Islander and hockey fan, talked about the team she has loved for over 30 years. During this chat with MSG’s Shannon Hogan, she blurted out that Nassau Coliseum’s parking lot was where her son was conceived in 1982.

The Island is riding high off of the Islanders’ winning streak. Sadly, it is the last year they will play in the famed stadium before moving to Barclays in Brooklyn. So obviously emotions are running high. Still, this has to be the single weirdest/greatest moment to ever happen on the sideline of a New York match up — bravo Joy Rosen.

But the Islanders could not hold off the Rangers, losing 6-5 in a clearly offense heavy night: though the Rangers have dominated the Isles over the last few years, this was the first time they beat them in the 2014-2015 season.
