With the NBA trade deadline rapidly approaching, general managers around the league are preparing to make their final gamble at acquiring the correct pieces that their respective franchises need. The 76ers have been making key moves all year in an effort to build their franchise and compete for a title.
The first move earlier this season was acquiring All-Star Jimmy Butler. With the All-Star break coming up as we pass the halfway point in the season, there’s only one stop left: the playoffs. With how competitive the Eastern Conference has become again, a good acquisition could sway things in one team’s favor. The Raptors, Bucks and Celtics are being prime contenders. The 76ers decided to make that move in a blockbuster trade, acquiring Tobias Harris, Boban Marjanovic and Mike Scott.
This is giving the playoff-bound Phildephila 76ers an even stronger lineup.

30 SPORTS FIGURES WHO DIED IN 2018 – TRIBUTE SLIDESHOW
Tobias Harris is a great pickup for this team. Being a veteran at the small forward position, he can provide the experience and leadership that the young Sixers outside of Butler are not accustomed to. Harris also is a threat to score, coming off a big night against the Hornets in which he had a big night scoring over 30 points. He can also help on the defensive end, being a big body to switch between guards on pick-and-roll situations.
Another big win for the 76ers is the fact that Tobias Harris is used to playing in a winning system already, which means Harris already understands what needs to be done to win and to keep winning, and part of it is usually being unselfish. From playing under Doc Rivers in the past and coming from a top team in the West, Harris already understands the team mentality of the game and it’s evident in his play.
Tobias was in good spirits after the the trade, embracing some of the Philadelphia culture immediately in his own way. He also had this to say about his time with the Los Angeles Clippers:
