Former Dodgers pitcher Rich Hill and his wife, Caitlin Hill, were arrested Saturday after the Patriots-Bills game at Gillette Stadium. It all started when his wife was told she couldn’t enter with an oversized bag.
According to chief administrator for Foxborough police Robert Bolger, Caitlin tried to enter the stadium with the oversized bag and after being told she could not several times, attempted to go through different gates. Eventually she was asked to leave the property.
Upon refusal, she was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct and trespassing.
Hill then attempted to intervene and after not complying with officers he too was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.

They were both arraigned Monday and had all charges downgraded to civil infractions by Norfolk County Dist. Atty. Michael Morrissey‘s office.
The Hill’s lawyer Francis O’Brien Jr. said, “This was a terribly unfortunate event that should never have escalated beyond a routine encounter with stadium security. Commendably, the Norfolk County District Attorney’s Office recognized this.”
Hill said of the incident, “Despite Saturday’s events, my great respect for law enforcement remains unchanged. However, seeing my wife handcuffed for a problem that started because of her fanny pack was extremely difficult for me to witness.”
