Darren Sproles Injury news
The Philadelphia Eagles running back suffered a torn ACL and a broken arm on the same play during Sunday’s 27-24 home victory over the New York Giants following a hit from safety Darian Thompson.
Sproles, 34, is set to have an MRI on Monday, and surgery on both his arm and knee.
“It’s a devastating loss, obviously, with the punt return and special-teams aspect of it,” Eagles coach Doug Pederson said.

So far this season, three-time Pro-Bowler Sproles has 15 carries for 61 yards, seven catches for 73 yards and one punt return for 10 yards, according to NBCSports.
LeGarrette Blount and Wendell Smallwood took most of the carries in Sproles’ absence after his injuries on Sunday.
Per ESPN, Smallwood and rookie Corey Clement — who scored on Sunday — are expected to play bigger roles at the running back position, while wide receiver Torrey Smith will temporarily take over as punt returner.
Two-time Pro Bowl defensive tackle Fletcher Cox (calf) and starting linebacker Jordan Hicks (ankle) also sustained injuries against the Giants. Pederson said both players are day to day.
The Eagles won Sunday’s game with a 61-yard field goal in the final second:
