San Francisco 49ers star Marquise Goodwin may not have received many accolades from the NFL, but he would certainly deserve the son and brother of the year awards.

This week, the 27-year-old wide receiver and kick returner surprised his mother and sister — who suffers from cerebral palsy — by purchasing a new home for them. He posted a video of their reaction on Instagram on Thursday.

The 49ers wideout has cited his sister Deja, shown here in a wheelchair, as a person he admires greatly.

“If Deja wasn’t my sister, I feel like I would still be motivated but not in the way that I am today,” Goodwin told ESPN in 2013. “Having a disabled sister, that’s a lot more motivation, especially when she tells you growing up that she wishes she can be out there with the kids playing and she wishes she can be out there running around.”

Deja is reportedly just months younger than her NFL star brother. Goodwin also thanked his realtor for helping him buy the house.

Goodwin, who played his first four NFL seasons with the Buffalo Bills after being drafted out of Texas in 2013, joined the Niners last year. Following a stellar season in which he logged a career-best 962 receiving yards and 56 catches — as well as two touchdowns — he signed a three-year, $20 million extension with the team in March.

Goodwin is also a former track and field star who competed in the long jump. He won a silver for Team USA at the 2015 Pan American Games, and also participated in the 2012 Summer Olympics and the 2011 IAAF World Championships.

Midway through last season, Goodwin’s wife suffered a miscarriage after complications during pregnancy.
