UFC fighter Brian Ortega reportedly got into a physical altercation with Korean rapper and entertainer, Jay Park, during UFC 248 on Saturday.
Ortega was at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on Saturday. Eyewitnesses told MMA Junkie that Ortega approached Park about comments the artist made last month. During the talk, Ortega allegedly open-hand slapped Park. Initially, it was reported that UFC fighter Chan Sung Jung was a part of the scuffle. But it’s now being reported that the incident took place while the fighter was in the bathroom. After the slap, Park and Ortega were able to be separated and the fighter was escorted out of the arena.

On Sunday, Jason House of Iridium Sports Agency said a police report was taken after Ortega had been escorted from the arena. No charges have been filed for the incident, but Park has a year to decide if he does want to press charges against the UFC fighter. If he does, the Las Vegas Metro Police would likely investigate the incident as a misdemeanor battery case.
Park also commented on the incident with Ortega on the Ariel Helwani MMA Show.
“I don’t want to take this dude’s money,” Park said. “I don’t want him to go to jail or anything like that. I don’t wish anything bad about him. It was just really weird. I don’t know what other way to put it. I don’t know what he was thinking. He needs to get his act together. Real talk.”
