Miami Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa said the way head coach Mike McDaniel and the rest of the coaching staff treat him is foreign to him throughout his time in the NFL.
“To be able to have our OC, my quarterback’s coach, our head coach here in support of this, I’ve never witnessed that,” Tagovailoa said at his fundraiser for Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Miami, to which the coaching staff showed up.
Since he was drafted, questions have persisted about the team’s commitment to him—whether it was sitting behind Ryan Fitzpatrick for the lion’s share of his rookie year, hearing whispers of the team trading for Deshaun Watson, or hearing louder whispers of the team making an ungodly offer to Tom Brady.
Look for Tagovailoa to make some noise this year now that he has—and knows he has—the team’s full support.
