Videos of NASCAR driver Tony Stewart have been surfacing online that shows Stewart getting into a heated argument with a heckler during a racing event. The confrontation happened Friday night during the Chili Bowl, a weeklong dirt-racing event that happened at the Tulsa Expo Center in Tulsa, Okla.
Different cellphone videos posted to YouTube show Stewart walking into the stands and locking hands with a fan and exchanging words with the man. The two continued their fight until a security guard pushed the fan away from Stewart and breaking up the two, only to see Stewart continuing exchanging words with the man.
The heckler has been identified as Cpl. Kyle Hess who works with the sheriff’s office, according to the Tulsa County Sheriff’s Office. Sheriff’s Deputy Justin Green has stated that the confrontation would be investigated and a statement would be released after the investigation was done. Green states that charges may not be filed against either man but is keeping the investigation open because there could be more to the argument than what is shown in the video. “Of course, there may be other details that are still out there other than that video,” he said.
