The Texas Longhorns will visit the No. 8 Kansas Jayhawks on Monday night, and here are all the major facts to know before the matchup.

Kansas vs. Texas men’s basketball preview

Texas (17-12, 7-9 Big 12) has advanced to the NCAA Tournament in 17 of the last 19 years. Longhorns coach Shaka Smart is 1-5 against Kansas, including 5-0 while at Texas.

With their 77-66 victory at No. 23 Oklahoma on Feb. 17, the Longhorns recorded their first true road win against an AP Top 25 opponent since a victory at No. 15 Baylor on Feb. 1, 2016.

Kansas (23-6, 12-4 Big 12) leads the all-time series vs. Texas, 30-8. The Jayhawks have won eight straight, 13 of the last 14 and 16 of the last 18 matchups against Texas.

The Jayhawks have won 61 conference titles, the most of any school in NCAA Division I.

Texas is coming off a 65-64 victory against Oklahoma State on Saturday. Kerwin Roach Jr. sank the game-winning shot with 1.2 seconds remaining. Freshman Mohamed Bamba is listed as questionable for the Longhorns due to a to injury. HIs absence could severely hurt the squad. The 6-foot-11 forward is averaging 13 points and 10.6 rebounds per game, and he recorded just 15 minutes against Oklahoma State before leaving.

Kansas, who has won four straight, is coming off a 74-72 victory over No. 6 Texas Tech on Saturday.
