The Miami Dolphins, who just signed quarterback Malik Willis, are sending their top wideout, Jaylen Waddle, and a fourth-round pick to the Denver Broncos in exchange for three draft picks.

Those draft picks include the 30th pick in this upcoming NFL draft, along with a third-round pick and a fourth-round pick. Waddle is set to undergo a physical with the Broncos on Wednesday before the trade is official.

Waddle, 27, spent five seasons with the Dolphins, totaling 5,039 receiving yards and 26 touchdowns. The former Alabama wide receiver was a staple of the Dolphins’ offense, but with a new regime in Miami, he gets a fresh start.

>50 SPORTS GREATS WHO DIED IN 2025 – TRIBUTE SLIDESHOW

The Broncos have been quiet all offseason, being the only team not to sign a free agent, but they decided to make a big splash in the trade market, acquiring a new wide receiver for quarterback Bo Nix.

Waddle will provide a serious deep threat in the Broncos’ offense with his game-breaking speed, allowing Nix to have a dynamic wide receiver.

The Broncos’ offense struggled, finishing 29th this past season with 25% of their drives ending on three-and-outs.

Waddle joins a wide receiver room that includes Pro-Bowler Courtland Sutton, Pat Bryant, Troy Franklin, Marvin Mims Jr., Lil’Jordan Humphrey and Michael Bandy.

The former first-round pick of the Dolphins is without a doubt the most talented wide receiver that the Broncos have had since the late Demaryius Thomas.

The Dolphins now hold two first-round picks in the NFL draft and will almost certainly be targeting a weapon for Willis. They could target Arizona State wideout Jordyn Tyson or USC’s Makai Lemon with the 11th overall pick.

Denver Broncos head coach Sean Payton confirmed this week that Bo Nix will be the team’s starting quarterback to begin the 2024 season. Nix beat out Jarrett Stidham and Zach Wilson for the role.

“Bo Nix is going to be our starting quarterback,” Payton told reporters Wednesday. “I felt like, and I said this to you guys two weeks ago, that [quarterback] room has been outstanding. … He’s been outstanding. Obviously, there’s a ton of room for growth; there’s a lot of things that he needs to work on.”

The Broncos selected Nix, who spent five years in college playing for Auburn and then Oregon, in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft with the 12th overall pick. Based on the team’s activity in the off-season, however, which included acquiring Wilson from the Jets, it was not always clear if Nix would start out of the gate.

Stidham and Wilson were not considered especially stiff competition for a QB1 battle, with one carrying on as a journeyman backup and the other coming off a disappointing stint in New York. Still, Nix could have benefitted from sitting behind a credible starter for a time and prepare more for the professional level.

Speaking to reporters, Payton believes that the rookie is the best option for the team coming out of training camp.

“I would say a lot of the off-schedule movement throws, and I think he’s been consistent,” Payton said when asked about why Nix won the starting job. “It’s not really a reflection on Jarrett or even Zach, it’s some of the things [Nix] has been able to do pretty quickly — his arm strength down the field, all the things that when we evaluated him, you kind of trust your instincts.”

The Broncos are coming off another dreadful season in which Russell Wilson tried, and failed, to recapture some of the success he had with the Seahawks. After parting ways with the veteran, Denver drafted Nix and has tried to catch him up to speed with the help of Stidham and others. He will be the first rookie to start Week 1 since John Elway in 1983.

New Jersey resident was denied $82,000 in winnings after FanDuel discovers an error in their live-odds feed.

FanDuel Refuses to Honor Bet for $82K After System Error

With around 1:10 left in the AFC West showdown between the Denver Broncos and the Oakland Raiders on Sunday afternoon, Garden State bettor Anthony Prince made his way to the counter of FanDuel Sportsbook at Meadowlands Racetrack and placed $110 on the Broncos to win.

NumberFire, a sports data company owned by FanDuel, set the Broncos at 38.96 percent chance to win and FanDuel’s pricing system had the Broncos at a staggering +75,000 to win.

The Broncos continued to march down the field, and with 0:08 seconds left remaining on the clock Broncos kicker Brandon McManus drilled a 36-yard field goal to push Denver to a 20-19 victory.

When Prince made his bet at the window, he was handed a FanDuel Sportsbook ticket that listed the Broncos at 750/1 with a payout of $82,610. When Prince went to claim his winnings, FanDuel refused to pay him, allegedly telling Prince that the bet was void because of an error in their system.

“They said their system had a glitch in it and they’re not obligated to pay for glitches,” Prince said.

FanDuel mistakenly changed the live feed betting odds for Sunday’s game after the Broncos moved into the red zone for their game-winning field goal. FanDuel said it meant to list Denver as a -600 favorite but an error in the oddsmaking process accidentally made the Broncos +75,000 underdogs to win.

FanDuel issued the following statement on Tuesday night:

“The wager in question involved an obvious pricing error inadvertently generated by our in-game pricing system. Specifically, near the end of the Sunday afternoon game between the Denver Broncos and the Oakland Raiders, the odds for the Broncos (who had the ball and were trailing by two points at the time) to win were +340 (bet $100 to win $340). The next play, the Broncos completed a 26-yard pass to position themselves to attempt a 36-yard field goal to take the lead in the final seconds of the fourth quarter, clearly positioning the Broncos as the favorite to win. At that moment in the game, our system updated the odds and erroneously posted a price of +75,000 on the Broncos to win the game (bet $100 to win $75,000) when the correct odds for the Broncos to win the game at that point in time were -600 (i.e., bet $600 to win $100). A small number of bets were made at the erroneous price over an 18 second period. We honored all such bets on the Broncos to win the game at the accurate market price in accordance with our house rules and industry practice, which specifically address such obvious pricing errors. We have reached out to all impacted customers and apologized for the error.”

The net payout would have been $18.35 had the Broncos been listed at -600.

As a consolation, Prince said FanDuel offered him $500 and skybox tickets to three Giants games instead. Prince declined to take FanDuel’s offer and plans to hire an attorney.

“A small number of bets were made at the erroneous price over an 18-second period,” FanDuel said. “We honored all such bets on the Broncos to win the game at the accurate market price in accordance with our house rules and industry practice, which specifically address such obvious pricing errors. We have reached out to all impacted customers and apologized for the error.”

The New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement is also investigating the matter.

Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning is going back to the Super Bowl for what could be his final game as an NFL quarterback. A lot has been speculated this year regarding his status and health on the football field yet the five-time MVP has one more shot to win a second Super Bowl to add to his Hall of Fame career.

After the 20-18 win over the New England Patriots in Denver, Manning was summoned to speak with the media during a post-game press conference. The quarterback invited his son, Marshall Manning, to join him while he addressed the press. Marshall sported his father’s jersey and an AFC Championship hat in which he wore it backwards. The only thing about this incident is that Marshall was rather quiet, hiding behind the podium and Manning while his father talked about the game’s highlights and the upcoming Super Bowl matchup.

Two of the greatest NFL quarterbacks met for the 17th and possibly final time yesterday for the AFC Championship, with the big stage of the Super Bowl in sight. This was the case for the Denver Broncos and New England Patriots, whose respective quarterbacks in Peyton Manning and Tom Brady going head-to-head in what was promised to be a shootout throughout the game.

An explosive force came out in the Broncos defense yesterday, pressuring Brady and giving him no time to throw, hitting him 23 times including four sacks. Brady admitted to the highly enabled pass-rush defense, saying, “It’s a tough front with good players,” he said. “They’re teeing off on the cadence. We’re trying to keep changing it up. They did a great job of it.” Brady finished the day with 27-of-56 for 310 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions, with the touchdown going to tight end Rob Gronkowski with seconds left on the clock. With a two-point conversion on the line to send the game to overtime, Brady was on point in throwing the ball to receiver Julian Edelman, only to have tipped by Broncos cornerback Aqib Talib. After the tip, the ball would land in cornerback Bradley Roby’s hands and seal the victory for the Broncos.

Manning, on the other hand, was poised on every offensive drive, seeing opportunities to throw the ball at the right times, and connecting with tight end Owen Daniels for his two touchdown passes for the game. What surprised Broncos players and fans alike was his scrambling phase, which saw him run 12 yards for a signature first down in the early third quarter, something that has not been seen since the 2002 season before all the surgeries Manning would endure in the future. Manning would finish the day with 176 yards passing and two touchdowns.

The Broncos would go on to win the game 20-18, and a bid for the Super Bowl, which will take place on Feb. 7 at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif., against the fiery Carolina Panthers. The Broncos will be going for their first Super Bowl win since they last won it 17 years ago, when Broncos quarterback great and current Executive Vice President of Football Operations John Elway won it. Elway was age 38 the day he won the Super Bowl with Manning at 39, he will be the oldest quarterback to compete in the Super Bowl.

A long time in the making, Denver Broncos wide receiver Demaryius Thomas had a special fan in the stands during the Broncos’ divisional playoff game yesterday against the Pittsburgh Steelers. That special person was his mother, who attended her first game since being released from prison.

Katina Smith, 43, was acquitted from all her drug charges after President Barack Obama had commuted her and 45 other people who were in prison for non-violent crimes in November. She had to stay in Georgia for another 60 days but finally, she was able to see her son Thomas play in a football game. “It’s very special,” Thomas told the media after the media. “She came out, got to see us win a game, her first time here, her first time seeing me play. It felt great, a really special feeling.”

Thomas caught four passes for 40 yards but caught an important 2-point conversion in the closing seconds of the game to solidify the win for the Broncos. The Broncos will host the New England Patriots next Sunday for the AFC Championship game with a Super Bowl berth on the line for both teams.

Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning has been accused of taking the banned substance human growth hormone (HGH) while he was out for the 2011 season with the Indianapolis Colts.

According to a report first published by Al Jazeera, it was reported that Manning went to the anti-aging clinic, The Guyer Institute, to receive the hormone, which is banned in the NFL according to the 2011 collective bargaining agreement. In an interview with ESPN yesterday, Manning denied these claims. “Disgusted is how I feel, sickened,” he said. “In 2011, when I more or less had a broken neck, four neck surgeries, I busted my butt to get healthy. I saw a lot of doctors.” He did acknowledge though that he visited the clinic in order to use a hyperbaric chamber and get other treatments, under the authorization of the Colts at that time. Both the Colts and the Broncos have stated that they support Manning 100 percent and are calling these claims false.

The clinic themselves denied the report and the initial accuser, Charles Sly, also recanted the claims made in the report. “The statements on any recordings or communications that Al-Jazeera plans to air are absolutely false and incorrect,” Sly said. “To be clear, I am recanting any such statements and there is no truth to any statement of mine that Al-Jazeera plans to air.” NFL players have been tested for HGH since 2014 and no players have been accused of taking the substance since initial testing was put into practice.

Manning is currently still not active as he is healing from a left foot injury and will not play in the tonight’s primetime game against the Cincinnati Bengals, a crucial game for the Broncos if they are to keep their postseason hopes alive.

Aqib Talib Shot in Leg, Will Miss White House Visit

Denver Broncos cornerback Aqib Talib got a little too frustrated during the final minutes against the Indianapolis Colts Sunday in their 27-24 loss in Indianapolis, snapping an undefeated record they had seven games before.

After a play was executed by the Colts offense late in the fourth quarter, it appeared that Talib had forcefully put his fingers through Colts tight end Dwayne Allen’s facemask and poked him in the eye. A penalty flag was then thrown and unnecessary roughness was called against the Broncos for the action. After the game, Talib had stated that the poke was unintentional but video evidence shows otherwise. Because of this, the league suspended Talib yesterday calling for a one-game suspension for the incident, which would find him missing next week’s game against the Kansas City Chiefs.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bpbSRwYYCos

Today, Talib was reported to be appealing the suspension and that a decision could be made by Wednesday. “They’re entitled to discipline me. I think I deserve discipline,” Talib said Monday in the Broncos’ locker room. “I didn’t intentionally poke him in his eye, but as you could see, I did get his eye. It was unintentional. They’ve got the right to discipline me as they did.” If Talib were to be suspended, he would lose one game day check, valued at $323,529.41.

Broncos head coach Gary Kubiak stated he had a long talk with Talib regarding the incident during the flight home and that it was a burden on the team but believed the incident itself was not intentional. “I had a long talk with him. He’s wrong. He needs to stay out of the situation,” Kubiak said Monday. “It hurt the team. He knows that. But by no means did he — I’m convinced — have intentions of poking anybody in the eye. That’s where we’re at.”

Before Sunday Night Football’s primetime game last night, both the Denver Broncos and Green Bay Packers were undefeated with a 6-0 start to the 2015 regular season, but last night would see who had the better plan of executing offensive drives against current top defenses in the league.

Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning has been criticized for his playing ability, mostly due to his age and not being able to get comfortable in a new offensive plan and coaching staff. Putting the critics and media aside, the 39-year-old quarterback put on an dominant performance for the home Denver crowd, completing 21 of his 29 passes and throwing for 340 yards. Denver running backs Ronnie Hillman and C.J. Anderson carried the touchdown run for the night, scoring three touchdowns in total and capping the Broncos with a whopping 500-yard total game. The defensive side of the ball for Denver was alive and well for the night, giving Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers a hard time off the snap, only allowing 77 passing yards and a low 140-yard game for the team. The Broncos would go on to extinguish the Packers in a 29-10 win and be one of four teams left standing with undefeated records.

“I’m not going to pull a Jim Mora on you and say the famous, ‘You think you know, but you just don’t know and you never will.’ It’s a great line. I’m not saying that. I’ll say it at some point. It’s not the time now. I just have been very determined to get comfortable in this offense,” said the four-time MVP after the game. Manning also tied the record for most wins by a quarterback at 186 wins right next to Packers great Brett Favre.

The Broncos will travel to Indianapolis to play the Colts while the Packers will face the current undefeated Carolina Panthers at their home turf next week for Week 9 matchups.

The thin air in Denver has been hanging a little too thick around the Bronco’s practice facility this week. Players around the league have begun preparations for the 2015-2016 season but defensive star Von Miller has been spending his time dealing with the Broncos new fine system – a Fart Tax, if you will – according to Denver Post reporter Nicki Jhabvala.

Denver Broncos Fart Tax

Thankfully for all of us curious fans, Jhabvala let Miller elaborate:

The plot thickened this morning however when Jhabvala hit Twitter yet again and tweeted this update to the story:

Do the Denver Broncos fine their players for loud gas releases? Should Von Miller go see a dietician? Sure, we’re all worried about concussions but who’s checking on our player’s constipation?

The Broncos play their first game of the season on Aug. 14 in a preseason matchup against last years NFC Champs, the Seattle Seahawks.
