Stefon Diggs Looks ‘Explosive’ At Patriots Minicamp, Team Ready To Move Beyond His Viral Boat Video With Cardi B.
New England Patriots star wide receiver Stefon Diggs‘ viral boat video is apparently water under the bridge as far as the Patriots are concerned.
The newly signed All-Pro wideout was spotted on a boat in Miami with a group of women, including his girlfriend, rapper Cardi B, holding a pink substance in a viral video that is circulating online.
The Patriots “have high hopes for him” and “intend to pay him a lot of money,” especially after Diggs passed his physical amid his recovery from a torn ACL he suffered last season with the Houston Texans.
The reports from minicamp are promising. “WRs Stefon Diggs (ACL rehab) and Ja’Lynn Polk (shoulder) seemed to be on the same program this spring. The two repped with the offense through the jog-through periods but worked off to the side during team drills,” Patriots’ insider Evan Lazar wrote. “Diggs looks explosive and was cutting at full speed, while the star wideout’s goal is to be ready for Week 1.”

The 31-year-old signed a three-year deal in March worth a maximum of $69 million. The four-time Pro Bowler arrived at the Patriots’ organized team activities Monday after missing last week’s voluntary workouts.
Many players have not shown up to OTAs, and Diggs did not violate any league rule; however, he made headlines for his off-the-field activities over the weekend.
On Sunday, Cardi B made their relationship Instagram official and included raunchy photos and a video of the rapper giving the wide receiver a lap dance.
Last week, when the viral video was circulating, Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel addressed the boat video, saying he was aware of it and talks to his players every day.
“Obviously, we want to make great decisions on and off the field,” Vrabel said.
Diggs ended up waving at reporters upon arrival at OTAs on Monday.
“Nice to see y’all,” Diggs said as he took the field in Foxborough.
Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels told reporters that he is not worried about Diggs’ absences.
“It’s a voluntary part of the year, and we know that. I don’t know if we’ve ever had perfect attendance,” McDaniels said. “As a coach, selfishly, you love it when they’re all here because you feel like you’ve got them all in the classroom and all on the field and the rest of it. … [Diggs is] here today and we’re excited to have an opportunity to work with the guys that are out here and available to us. I know he’s staying up on the information and the material. … I’m not concerned with Stef in that regard.”
