Sunday night was an intense matchup between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Baltimore Ravens. It was a battle between the top two teams in the AFC North division.
The Ravens quarterback and reigning NFL MVP Lamar Jackson led a close game but errors on his part led to a 28-24 loss. Jackson helped build a 10-point lead at the end of the first half as the Ravens led the Steelers 17-7. However, that lead soon chipped away as the Steelers came back in the third quarter when they scored 14 unanswered points. Heading into the fourth quarter the Steelers led 21-17 in a close game.
During the first drive of the game on a third-down passing play, Jackson attempted to throw a pass to rookie wide receiver James Proche, however, the ball never reached its target as Steelers linebacker Robert Spillane intercepted the play. The Spillane interception led to a 33-yard touchdown. It was the first of four turnovers by the NFL MVP. In that same first quarter, Jackson fumbled the ball for the Steelers to gain possession.
Late into the fourth quarter with the Ravens trailing 28-24, Jackson mounted a late-game rally that nearly won the game. During the last two minutes, the quarterback fumbled the ball on a fourth-down play. Jackson got another final chance to win the game with three seconds left in the game at the Steelers 23-yard line. Jackson threw a pass to the end zone, with the target being Willie Snead to win the game. Pittsburgh safety Minkah Fitzpatrick that slapped the ball away to prevent the completion.

In total, the Ravens led the Steelers in total yards with 457-221 and in rushing yards with 265-48. From these stats, it was obvious that the Ravens held the offensive advantaged and easily overwhelmed Steeler’s top defense. However, it was the turnovers that factored in and led to the Steelers winning and remaining undefeated.
With the close loss to the Steelers, the Ravens had hoped to win the game with the Steelers because the Steelers are the current division leader in the AFC North. The Ravens are now two games behind the Steelers, but they remain second in the division.
