Pirates' pitcher Felipe Rivero
Pittsburgh Pirates pitcher Felipe Vazquez is facing a Class A misdemeanor in Missouri after records revealed that Vazquez sent pornographic images of himself to a girl, who at the time was 15-years old while he was in St. Louis played against the Cardinals, this according to the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review.
Rich Cholodofsky, who first reported the news for the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, noted that Vazquez has also been charged with possession with child pornography, unlawful contact with a minor, who at the time was a 13-year-old girl and statutory sexual assault. The contact with the then 13-year old was in Pennsylvania.
Vazquez has also had charges filed against him in Florida. According to Westmoreland County Assistant District Attorney Jim Lazar, he believes the victim in each of his charges is the same one in all three places.
According to Vazquez’s attorney in court documents, the victim lied about her age to Vazquez, having him convinced she was an adult.
