NBA Game Preview, Celtics Vs Jazz (Nov. 9): Time Start Start, Channel, Players To Watch

The Boston Celtics face off against the Utah Jazz in a Friday night showdown at Vivint Smart Home Arena, Salt Lake City.

Celtics head to Salt Lake City to face Jazz

The Boston Celtics (7-4) enter tonight’s game ranked third in the Eastern Conference, while the Utah Jazz (5-6) hover at ninth over the 5-6 Los Angeles Lakers in the West. This will be the first time these two teams have met since Boston beat Utah 97-94 back on March 28, 2018.

So far we’ve gone 11 games into the NBA season and Utah has been abysmal at home, but dominant on the road, flaunting a 4-2 away record and a 1-4 record at home.

The story has been the exact opposite for the Celtics, who have been prominent at home but mediocre on the road, lauding a 4-3 away record and a 3-1 record in the TD Garden.

Boston is coming off a 116-109 road win against a feeble Phoenix Suns team (2-9) who are in dead last in the Western Conference and have gone 0-4 at home.

The Celtics have been impressive this season, ranking 4th in defensive rebounds, 7th in turnovers per game, and 14th in the percentage of three-pointers landed. Boston could use some work on field goal percentage (No. 28), points per game (25th) and steals per game (25th).

In 43 minutes, Celtics all-star Kyrie Irving scored a team-high 39 points during their last game against the Suns. He went 13-28 from the field (7/7 from the line, 6/13 from the three). Irving collected 6 assists, 7 rebounds, 3 steals, 1 block and 6 threes with 3 turnovers.

Utah also enters tonight’s game with a 117-102 win against a struggling Dallas Mavericks team that has gone 3-8 on the season and are 0-6 on the road.
