NBA All-Star Starters Revealed: Kevin Durant & LeBron James Named Captains

The All-Star roster has been announced after fan voting, player voting and media voting have been concluded.

From the Eastern Conference, the captain has been determined to be Kevin Durant. The forward received the most fan votes in the East and player votes. Joining Durant in the frontcourt from the East will be Giannis Antetokounmpo and Joel Embiid. The backcourt will be Kyrie Irving and Bradley Beal.

Western Conference: The captain from the West is LeBron James who finished first in the fan votes for the West. Joining James in the frontcourt will be Nikola Jokic and Kawhi Leonard. The backcourt will consist of Stephen Curry and Luka Doncic.

The bench and reserves for the All-Star have not been announced yet but will be revealed next week after the league’s coaches vote on them.

The 2021 NBA All-Star game will be played on March 7 in Atlanta. The skills and three-point challenge will be held the same day as the pregame events. The dunk contest will be held during halftime of the All-Star game. The All-Star game will follow the same format that was introduced during last year’s All-Star game.
