This is the finale of a three-game series. The Marlins (55-84, .396) won 3-1 on Monday, and the Phillies (73-65, .529) won 9-4 on Tuesday.

Sandy Alcantara (1-0, 1.80 ERA) is expected to start for Miami against fellow right-hander Nick Pivetta (7-10, 4.66 ERA). Pivetta boasts 168 strikeouts this season, while Alcantara has only struck out two batters.

Philadelphia is second in the NL East, three games behind the division-leading Atlanta Braves (76-62). The Marlins are fifth in the division, 7.5 contests behind the fourth-place New York Mets (62-76).
