Luis suarez Celebrates 30th Birthday With Highlight Reel Of Greatest Goals Scored In Barcelona Training

The Barcelona forward, who reached the big 3-0 on Tuesday, received a great gift from his team to mark the Uruguayan’s big day: a highlight reel of some of his greatest training-ground goals.

Suarez has been enjoying a stellar season, with 15 goals in 18 La Liga appearances.

His statistics in the Spanish league have been fantastic since he nearly helped lead Liverpool to a Premier League title.

In the two-and-a-half seasons since he left the English club, Suarez has recorded 71 goals in 80 league appearances and has also added 30 league assists.

The highlight reel includes both brutal shots and soft finishes that trick the Barca goalkeepers.

Suarez scored 54 leagues goals in his last two seasons at Liverpool’s Anfield stadium and was the target of a famous £40,000,001 ($50.5 million) bid from Arsenal that completely fell through.

Barcelona landed the striker in July 2014 in a £65 million ($82.11 million) deal and since then, he has delivered one remarkable performance after another.

Suarez’ wife Sofia also paid tribute to him on his birthday with a photo on Instagram, which depicts Suarez holding a cake with the number 30 and some candles on top.

As a caption, she wrote: ‘Only someone so special can do such special things! May life follow you always smiling always and very happy! Happy 30th! We love you with our soul.’

Barcelona, led by manager Luis Enrique, is currently third in the La Liga table and trail second place Sevilla by one point and leaders Real Madrid by two.

The Catalan club will next host Real Sociedad in Thursday’s second-leg Copa del Rey match. Barcelona won the first leg 1-0.
