Kentucky’s Karl-Anthony Perfectly Times Photobomb During John Calipari Interview
Last night’s Kentucky bout came down to the wire: with the undefeated season on the line, the Wildcats were able to overcome the late surge by LSU to win 71-69. And during a postgame interview, coach John Calipari was talking about the immaturity of some of his players, particularly Karl-Anthony Towns.
Towns was given a technical for doing a chin up after dunking. This foul gave the LSU that second half surge, resulting in a 22-2 Tigers run. The 66-60 deficit would eventually be overcome by the Wildcats’ superior talent, but the damage was certainly done.
So while Calipari was talking about the immaturity of 19-year-old kids, Karl-Anthony decided to photobomb the interview: he probably had no idea the coach was critiquing him and the audience could not have asked for better timing.
