Jaguars Decline Devin Lloyd’s Fifth-Year Option, Costing Him $14M
The Jacksonville Jaguars are not picking up the fifth-year option on linebacker Devin Lloyd. He is now set to become a restricted free agent after the season.
Lloyd, who was the 27th pick in 2022 out of Utah, has had an up-and-down career in the NFL. Statistically, he’s built up some nice seasons, finishing with over 100 tackles in all three seasons of his career.
Lloyd, however, has had problems with making mistakes, often being out of place in pass coverage or position.
The option would have guaranteed Lloyd $14.75 million for the 2026 season.
