The Chicago Blackhawks will host the Vegas Golden Knights on Tuesday evening, and here is what you need to know.

Blackhawks host Golden Knights On Nov. 27

Vegas (12-12-1) won their last game 5-2 against the Blackhawks (9-10-5) on Feb. 13. The Golden Knights are third in the Pacific Division and are coming off three straight victories, including two back-to-back shutouts: a 6-0 win over the San Jose Sharks on Saturday and a 2-0 win over the Calgary Flames on Friday.

Meanwhile, the Blackhawks are struggling at sixth in their division. Chicago is coming off a 5-4 overtime victory over the Florida Panthers on Saturday, but before that lost eight of ten games since November started. The team’s only two wins in that ten-game stretch were against St. Louis and Minnesota.

The Blackhawks rank 11th in the Western conference and 22nd in the NHL, with 23 points this season. Chicago is also fifth in the wildcard race.

The Golden Knights are 8th in the West and 18th in the league with 25 points on the season. They are also fifth in the wildcard race, second in the NHL in shots allowed, third in win percentage when leading after the second period, and sixth in total face-offs won. Vegas is ranked low, however, in goals per game (26th) and power-play percentage (22nd).

Patrick Kane will be watched closely, as he logged one goal and one assist for the Blackhawks in 24:25 minutes of ice time in Saturday’s win over Florida. Cam Ward made 34 saves on 38 shots.

Vegas is powered by veteran goalie Marc-Andre Fleury, who blocked all 33 shots he faced in Saturday’s win over the Sharks.

Tuesday’s game at United Center will start at 8 p.m. EST and will air on NBC Sports.
