After a year out of the Octagon, Conor McGregor is set to make his return to take on Donald Cerrone in the main event of UFC 246. The former featherweight and lightweight champion is ready to give fans a long anticipated show.

‘Cowboy’ Cerrone has warned people not to count him out as McGregor looks to make a winning comeback in his first fight since October 2018.

Cerrone is the UFC’s all-time wins leader and has greater experience at welterweight, with 10 fights compared to McGregor’s two.

With both fighters weighing in at 170 lbs., Cerrone launched an angry tirade when asked if he and his chances had been written off.

“The light-hearted joking around with Cowboy, that’s all week long. It’s f****** game time. It’s time to go to work.” Cerrone said before storming out.

Dana White was very open about McGregor and his future.

“Conor was the 145-pound champ,” White said. “Many people thought he wouldn’t beat Eddie Alvarez…he knocked him out in the first round.”

“I don’t love him at 170 and this is something that Conor and I fight about and when I say these things he gets very upset with me.”

In response to McGregor’s current state, White said, “All the stuff that’s gone on with Conor over the last couple of years, people wanna see if he still has it. I was happy to see a happy, sane Conor McGregor. I’m cool with that.”

In the co-main event, former champion Holly Holm is set to face Raquel Pennington at women’s bantamweight.
