Free agent Cordarrelle Patterson has signed with the Oakland Raiders.
The former Vikings wide receiver had recently lobbied via his Snapchat page to return to Minnesota.
According to NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport, Patterson’s deal with the Raiders is for two years, per a source informed of the contract. Rapoport added that Patterson is able to void the deal after a year.
Patterson, who will be 26 later this month, had a career-best 52 receptions for 453 yards last season. He also had two touchdowns and a kickoff return for a touchdown with the Vikings last season. He has caught 132 passes in his four seasons in Minnesota.

“Two years I spent damn near on the sideline,” Patterson said. “That’s never a good feeling for any player. No player wants to go through that. I need to know if I’m going to play or not. If not, I’ll take my talents elsewhere.”
The Vikings are also planning to keep restricted free agent wide receiver Adam Thielen, and hope to give 2016 first-round pick (No. 23 out of Mississippi) wideout Laquon Treadwell a greater role for next season. The trio should prove to be a strong receiving corps for quarterback Derek Carr.
