Colorado Rockies Continue On Historically Bad Season
After becoming the fastest team in Major League Baseball History to lose 50 games since 1884, the Colorado Rockies haven’t found much success.
The Rockies did manage to win their first series of the season, sweeping the Miami Marlins and increasing their season win total by 25%.
The team is now 12-55 with a run differential of -202. They’ve allowed the second-most runs in baseball and scored the least amount of runs.
Despite the historically bad season, interim manager Warren Schaeffer is looking for any positives he can find.

“Today, I thought it was a big step forward for us offensively,” Schaeffer said after the team’s 10-7 loss to the San Fransico Giants on Wednesday.
It’s just the eighth time through 67 games the Rockies have scored seven or more runs. It’s the team’s first time scoring seven or more runs in June.
The worst winning percentage in the MLB modern era is the 1916 Philadelphia Athletics’ 36-117 who finished with a .235 winning percentage.
The Rockies are on pace to break that record with ease, currently sitting at a winning percentage of .179 and competing in what’s largely considered one of, if not the hardest division in baseball.
