The Los Angeles Chargers returned to winning ways on Thursday Night Football after a commanding 37-10 home victory against the Minnesota Vikings.

Quarterback Justin Herbert recorded three passing touchdowns for the third time this season. The former Oregon QB completed 18 of his 25 passing attempts, notching 227 yards as well as tallying 62 rushing yards from seven carries.

The team sought to improve from last weekend’s defeat, where the Indianapolis Colts outmatched the Chargers in a 38-24 home defeat. Herbert threw two interceptions during that loss, but he looked to bounce back heading into Thursday’s game at SoFi Stadium.

“(It was) a big opportunity for us to go and correct some of our mistakes,” the quarterback said after the win against Minnesota. “I thought all three phases did that and it’s just good to see a Chargers win.”

In the rushing field, Chargers running back Kimani Vidal responded from last weekend’s struggles – where he finished with 20 rushing yards – by running 117 yards and scoring one touchdown on Thursday.

“Kimani’s done such a great job of just stepping up and making plays,” Herbert said on his running back. “In the past couple weeks, he’s done an awesome job, whether it’s catching or running out of the back field, he’s a true leader. Great teammate on this team and glad to have him.”

The Chargers return to the field on Nov. 2 when Herbert and co travel east to face the Tennessee Titans.
