Celebrity Trainer Jorge Cruise on What Foods… by uSports
Celebrity trainer Jorge Cruise, author of the new book Tiny and Full, recently sat down with uSports to explain the basics on what foods you need to eat now to stay slim and fit.
“Some of my celeb clients like Beyoncé and Angelina Jolie, what they love are the meals based on the berries, a lot of blueberry and strawberry based things like smoothies. I always do a pea protein shake with blueberries, strawberries and bananas in the morning.”
It isn’t all protein shakes though – Cruise also recommends oatmeal with berries in the morning. The trainer believes that it only gets easier for lunch and dinner. “After breakfast its easy, you can have vegetables and protein from an animal-based source, whether cheese or dairy or fish or poultry. If you get that animal protein in, you get that B-12, and B-12 gives you energy and that is so important when trying to maintain a healthy, active lifestyle.”
Cruise noted that a lot of vegans don’t get enough B-12 and that causes them to be unable to sustain their desired pace due to low energy. “In the morning it’s easy and then for lunch and dinner its just incorporating that favored protein of yours whether it’s fish-based protein or poultry protein or even if it’s dairy and making sure you enjoy that so you get the protein with B-12 for maximum energy.”
