Kevin Love
Back in 2017, Cleveland Cavaliers forward Kevin Love exited an NBA game because he had a panic attack. In an article he wrote for The Players Tribune, Love opened up about what had transpired on that November night. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, a lot of people have been out of touch with those who they love the most and because of this, this has Love worried.
In speaking with ESPN, Love expressed his fear on the impact of what isolation can have on someone. “Listen, I don’t have all the answers – and likely never will. But speaking from experience, I can tell you there are resources out there that can help you. It’s really scary what’s going on in the world right now. But you don’t have to suffer through it alone. Take it from someone who did that for far too long.”
One of the biggest fears of mental health experts during these unprecedented times has been people who suffer from mental health issues could do some things detrimental to their health and well being, especially if they are quarantining alone.
Experts have suggested that if you know someone who struggles with mental health issues is to reach out as often as possible as a means to check in and make sure that they are doing ok.
