Arrest Order Issued For Antonio Brown In Florida

The Hillsborough County Sherriff’s Office in Florida issued an arrest order Thursday for Antonio Brown. The former NFL wide receiver is wanted for a misdemeanor battery charge.

According to the warrant, the incidents in question occurred on Nov. 28. No other details about the charge are known at this time, but Fox13 in Tampa reported that it involved the mother of his children. On Nov. 29, a judge denied law enforcement’s petition for a temporary risk protection order, which argued that Brown was a threat to himself and others and should not be able to purchase or possess firearms.

Brown’s last posted on social media on Nov. 29, when he tweeted a courtside photo at an NBA game between the Atlanta Hawks and Philadelphia 76ers in Philadelphia. The game took place the previous night on Nov. 28, the same day that the alleged battery took place.

Since his release from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2021 following an abrupt early exit from the team’s game against the New York Jets, Brown has continued to act in erratic and harmful ways. During his one-sided feud with former teammate Tom Brady, he has consistently escalated his public messages and recently posted screenshots of old conversations between the two as well as multiple photos of Gisele Bundchen, Brady’s ex-wife.

In October, a video surfaced of Brown exposing himself in a hotel pool in Dubai, an act that reportedly led to his removal from the establishment. Later that month. he was ordered to pay $1.2 million in damages and medical expenses after attacking a moving truck driver in February 2020.

Brown has also been repeatedly accused of sexual assault over the years. In September 2019, his former trainer, Britney Taylor, accused him of raping her, and another woman came forward and accused Brown of assault shortly after. Law enforcement could not charge Brown because the accusations were beyond the statute of limitations, and he eventually settled in April 2021. Police in Florida have also reported a number of visits to Brown’s Florida residence over the years to handle domestic disputes.
