Arch Manning Under Fire For ‘Immature’ Behavior After Laughing At AI Edits Mocking Female Reporter

Arch Manning is under fire after laughing at AI edits made after an awkward moment when Texas Head Coach Steve Sarkisian blew off reporter Holly Rowe.

The viral moment came after Texas came back from a 20-3 deficit and upset the number one team in the country, Ohio State.

Numerous AI edits of the incident showed Sarkisian kissing and slapping the reporter after his “Hook Em” remark, then running from the interview and into the locker room with his team.

At a press conference, Manning was seen saying, “Did you guys see that one? That was a good one,” referring to the edits.

He was also seen laughing about it, which was followed by an awkward laugh from the press in the room.

This sparked immediate backlash, and Shea Cornette called it “immature,” “insensitive,” and “offensive” on ESPN’s First Take. She called it a learning moment for the Heisman contender.

Manning has apologized since the incident, doing so on Instagram with a story post, which also drew flak from reporters. Cornette criticized him for not apologizing on video and instead taking the easy way out, also saying, “How dare he,” in response to the situation.

Cornette hopes that this lesson teaches him that we don’t need to “laugh at videos that promote violence.”

Manning has spoken with Rowe about the incident.

As for Texas, they have now jumped into the number one spot in the country. They take on UTSA next before beginning SEC play against the Tennessee Volunteers.
