Alabama Fan Casey Marriott Gets Surprise After Inviting Nick Saban To Wedding

In one of the more heartwarming stories this week, when Alabama fan Casey Marriott decided to invite Nick Saban to her wedding, little did she know he would respond. According to ESPN, she was just simply having fun while creating wedding invitations with her mother; so she invited Jimmy Fallon, Justin Timberlake, Peyton Manning and the aforementioned Crimson Tide coach.

A few weeks later, he sent back his RSVP card; and though Mr. and Mrs. Saban could not come, they sent their best wishes and a signed photo. A cool little sports moment that shows the lighter side of the medium. “This just shows that he is a good guy,: said Casey, “and he will do things for his fans.”

“I’ve always been a huge fan of Nick,” the surprised bride-to-be said. “His first year at Alabama was my first year, so he’s kind of like ‘Father Alabama’ to me. I’ve always wanted to meet him, but it’s hard to meet Nick Saban. He’s a busy guy.”
