Since getting into an argument with Minnesota, Ben DograAdrian Peterson’s agent, has been in the background, carefully choosing his words. Well, the media caught up with the famous agent at the NFL’s owners meeting in Arizona. And when asked about the matter, Dogra responded rather frankly: “I don’t think it’s in Adrian’s best interest to play in Minnesota. Why would it be?”

Again, the Adrian Peterson saga has been going on for the last few months: if this was a normal soap opera, the storyline would have been wrapped up weeks ago as it is getting quite old. Originally, Peterson was suspended indefinitely for pleading no contest to child abuse, which the famous running back sued the NFL over. In the meantime, Dogra made headlines when he got into a screaming match with Vikings vice president Rob Brzezinski.

After a judge reinstated the back, there have been rumors about where AP would end up in 2015: some claimed he would be cut, while others stated that he wanted to be traded. Since then, Minnesota has been attempting to win over Peterson, who feels a bit uncomfortable coming back to the NFC team. Still, the organization has made it quite clear that they have no plans to cut him.

At the same, Dogra felt it necessary to get his point across, as he does not feel like Minnesota would be in his client’s best interest. So could he end up on a different team — in early February, it was rumored that he would restructure his contract to be traded to the Dallas Cowboys, Arizona Cardinals, Indianapolis Colts, San Diego Chargers or Tampa Bay Buccaneers — or will he be a Viking for life?

“The bottom line is Adrian is an important part of the Minnesota Vikings,” Vikings co-owner Mark Wilf stated. “He’s represented us on and off the field. We’re getting ready for the 2015 season and we fully expect him to join his teammates and be a part of what we feel is going to be a great season ahead.” So the plot thickens with no reasonable end to this saga in sight.
