Man U’s Luke Shaw to See Specialist for Foot Injury
The 21-year-old English star walked off the field at Old Trafford after just nine minutes of play in Sunday’s 1-1 tie.
United manager Jose Mourinho, who questioned Shaw’s commitment to the Red Devils in April, said he believes the defender could be suffering from a “major injury.” The Portuguese coach also criticized Shaw for skipping the Premier League victory at Swansea in November after stating he was unable to play.
Central defender Eric Bailly also became injured against Swansea on Sunday.

United still does not know how long Shaw will be out. The team will likely find out after the specialist has properly analyzed the scans.
Some of the Red Devils players seem to fear the defender could miss not simply the remainder of this season, but also the beginning of the next campaign in August.
Shaw joined United for £27 million ($35 million) in June 2014, but sustained two separate leg injuries during a Champions League game in September 2015, both of which sidelined him for nearly a year.
After returning in August, Shaw made just 11 Premier League appearances this campaign after also enduring a minor groin tear in September.
Other United stars who have recently suffered injuries include top scorer Zlatan Ibrahimovic and defenders Phil Jones, Chris Smalling and Marcos Rojo.
United are fifth in the Premier League standing with 65 points. They next visit Celta Vigo in the first-leg game of the Europa League semi-finals on Thursday, and then travel to London to face Arsenal in a Premier League matchup on Monday (May 7).
