Jacksonville Jaguars 2024-2025 Season Outlook: Schedule & Ticket Deals
Fresh off an AFC South crown and a divisional round appearance in 2022, the Jacksonville Jaguars hoped to build from 2022’s success last season. That goal appeared to be a good one as Jacksonville cruised to an 8-3 start. Since then, the Jags went 1-5 – resulting in a 9-8 finish and missing the postseason.
The collapse can be linked to subpar play from Trevor Lawrence as he tossed nine touchdowns to eight interceptions in the losing stretch while the defense gave up at least 250 passing yards to the opposing QB in each game Jacksonville lost.
Wide receiver Gabe Davis was signed to a three-year $39 million deal. Though he’s proven to be a solid wideout in his time with Buffalo, there are problems with consistent production – Davis could have an outing similar to 2021-2022’s divisional-round matchup with the Chiefs or be a no-show. Jacksonville renewed Josh Allen’s contract while Brandon Scherff’s was reworked. Other additions include Mitch Morse, Arik Armstead and Mac Jones, who are in a trade with the Patriots.
LSU receiver Brian Thomas Jr. was chosen with pick #23. Thomas Jr. was compared to Allen Robinson II because he can catch 50-50 balls, making him a reliable red-zone target. The rest of the draft saw the Jaguars stock up on defensive depth while drafting Arkansas kicker Cam Little in the sixth round.
