Connor McGregor & Floyd Mayweather ‘Close’ To Striking A Fight Deal – But Are Still Arguing Over Rules
Another fight between Connor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather is picking up some steam – but one major obstacle is standing in the way.
In regards to the fight, the personal terms have been reportedly agreed to.
Should the two square off again in a boxing ring, it would be at 155-pounds.
However, the Notorious McGregor wants a 10-round match – and not an exhibition fight.

“Connor will only take the fight providing Floyd is willing to put his professional record on the line – so the fight will not be an exhibition, it will be an official fight,” a source close to Mayweather’s camp told The Sun.
Previously Mayweather fought YouTuber Logan Paul in an eight-round boxing match in Miami.
Although Paul was unremarkably outclassed by Mayweather, no winner was announced.
The first time McGregor faced Mayweather, the fight ended in the 10th round.
Mayweather won by technical knockout (TKO) after McGregor started to fatigue.
One judge credited McGregor with wins in three of the first 10 rounds.
Reportedly, Mayweather earned $280 million from the fight, while McGregor made $130 million.
This time around, McGregor is coming off a gruesome broken leg that suffered in his latest UFC fight against Dustin Poirier.
Meanwhile, Dana White told TMZ Sports in June that he was hoping McGregor would return by the end of the year or early in 2023 as he was “starting to ramp up his training.”
White at the time said that he was looking to match him up with Michael Chandler, who is coming off a big knockout win against Tony Ferguson.
Chandler, who fights at 155-pounds, called out McGregor in a post-fight interview in the octagon.
“I want you at your biggest, your baddest, your best,” Chandler said.
“Me and you at 170. This summer, this fall, this winter.”
Now we wait to see if McGregor’s next fight will be in the octagon or against Mayweather in a boxing arena.
The Notorious one has not won a fight since knocking out Donald Cerrone in January 2020.
