A civil lawsuit has been filed against Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson.

The lawsuit filed alleges that Watson sexually assaulted a massage therapist at her home by “touching her hand with his penis.” Tony Buzbee, the Houston attorney representing the woman who is identified as Jane Doe, revealed the news of the lawsuit Tuesday night.

The lawsuit reveals that the incident allegedly took place on March 30, 2020. Watson allegedly booked a massage appointment on the date the incident took place with Doe. The 25-year-old victim, Doe, is a licensed massage therapist who works from her home.

The lawsuit alleges that Doe had left the massage room, and upon returning, found Watson lying on the massage table with just a small towel covering his groin area. It was from there on that the quarterback kept asking her to focus on his “groin area” and made her feel “extremely uncomfortable.” The Pro Bowler allegedly repositioned himself on the table so that he “purposely touched Plaintiff’s hand with the tip of his erect penis.” The massage therapist then believed that Watson wanted a massage for one reason only and that reason being for “sex.”

Furthermore, the plaintiff then alleges that after asking the quarterback to leave, Watson allegedly made a comment to her. “I know you have a career and a reputation, and I know you would hate for someone to mess with yours, just like I don’t want anyone messing with mine,” Watson allegedly said. Doe perceived this comment as a threat to her and later alleged that the Pro Bowler texted her an apology.

In response to the news of a civil lawsuit being filed against him, the Texans quarterback released a statement addressing the suit. In a Twitter statement, the star quarterback wrote, “As a result of a social media post by a publicity-seeking plaintiff’s lawyer, I recently became aware of a lawsuit that has apparently been filed against me.” The quarterback continued to write, “I have not yet seen the complaint, but I know this: I have never treated any woman with anything other than the utmost respect.”

The quarterback then went on to blast the claims. “The plaintiff’s lawyer claims that this isn’t about money, but before filing suit, he made a baseless six-figure settlement demand, which I quickly rejected. Unlike him, this isn’t about money for me—it’s about clearing my name, and I look forward to doing that.”
