Damian Lillard Drops Rap Song ‘They Sleep’ Detailing All-Star Snub
Portland Trailblazers’ point guard Damian Lillard failed to make the All-Star Game this year despite ranking sixth in the NBA in scoring with 24.3 points per game.
During the All-Star break, Lillard, a known hip-hop and rap enthusiast, decided to spend some time in the studio recording some music. He dropped a song titled, “They Sleep” under his rap moniker, Dame D.O.L.L.A. along with Oakland rapper, Brookfield Deuce.
In the song, Lillard voices his displeasure about not being selected to the All-Star Game in Toronto. He references several times where critics have doubted him in the past, including the Blazers-Rockets series and his series-clinching shot, his shoe deal, and how he got his Bachelor’s degree.

TMZ Sports asked Lillard about the song, all he replied with was, “It’s just a break in the season and how I’ve been feeling. My thoughts. That’s all.”
Lillard and the Trailblazers (27-27) will kick off their second half of the season tonight at home as they host the Golden State Warriors (48-4), tonight at 10.
