San Francisco 49ers’ linebacker Dre Greenlaw was ejected in the third quarter following an altercation with an Eagles security guard.

The incident, which is currently under NFL review, started when Greenlaw tackled Eagles wideout De’Vonta Smith.

Greenlaw aggressively tackled Smith down to the ground. His tackle drew a penalty flag for unnecessary roughness from the referees.

The tackle also triggered a reaction from Eagles staff and players, who yelled at Greenlaw and several other 49ers teammates in several back-and-forths.

Dom DiSandro, the head of security for the Eagles, went toward Greenlaw. In response, Greenlaw extended his arm and appeared to get in contact with DiSandro’s face, which led to the ejection.

“It was such a big loss in that moment to lose him,” 49ers linebacker Fred Warner said about the incident. “That was another moment where we had to make an adjustment and stand up.”

DiSandro was also thrown out of the game after the altercation.

The incident barely affected how the 49ers played, as they dominated the Eagles, winning 42-19 against them.

The 49ers, who are 9-3, face division rivals Seattle Seahawks on December 10.
