2021 Baltimore Orioles: Team Schedule [Tickets Available]
Opening day of Major League Baseball is just around the corner. That means it is time to take a look at each team’s prognosis heading into the 2021 season after the 2020 pandemic-shortened campaign.
The Orioles finished the 2020 season in second-to-last place in the American League East. They were seven games out of a wild card berth. If they are going to have any shot at making the postseason in a stacked division, the offense is going to have to come alive. Last season, they scored the fewest runs in the division (274). Baltimore will also have to fare better against teams with records greater than .500. Last season, the Orioles went 11-26 against elite teams. They also struggled at home, finishing 13-20 at Camden Yards.
Baltimore has a lot to work on, but things could get better as they have some very young players trending in the right direction. Check out Baltimore’s expected starters.

Baltimore Orioles Team Outlook:
The Orioles took a pretty significant leap during the pandemic shortened season in 2020. After being the laughing stock of the league for many years, Baltimore finished the 60-game season with a 25-35 record. The key to Baltimore’s success is the development of youngsters Ryan Mountcastle and Austin Hays, both of whom hit in the meat of the batting order.
Although the Orioles’ pitching staff still leaves a lot to be desired, it is the bullpen that is especially messy. However, if Hunter Henry can prove that he is one of the better closers in the league, the Orioles have a chance to not finish at the bottom of the American League East.
The Orioles open the season on the road against their division rivals, the Red Sox, at Fenway Park.
