Martin’s deal includes $40 million guaranteed, according to NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport.

The 27-year-old guard has also reportedly earned a $20 million signing bonus. Martin, a first-round draft pick by the Cowboys in 2014, has played in four consecutive Pro Bowls and is also a two-time first-team All-Pro. With his new deal — which will pay him $14 million a year on average — Martin becomes the second-highest-paid offensive lineman after tackle Nate Solder of the New York Giants.

Jacksonville Jaguars guard Andrew Norwell previously held the NFL record for the highest payday for that position. Norwell inked a five-year, $66.5 million contract in March during the period of free agency.

The 6-foot-4, 315-pound Martin had one year remaining on his current deal.

The Cowboys are also mulling whether or not to extend defensive end DeMarcus Lawrence, who posted a career-best 14.5 sacks last season. According to ESPN, the franchise must decide by July 16 if they want to re-sign him.

Dallas ranked ninth in the NFL defensively in 2017, having allowed an average of 18.6 points per game.
