As college players begin to make decisions to enter the draft and begin their professional football careers, the future of a legend remains unknown. New England quarterback Tom Brady has been playing for the better part of 20 years and now faces questions about his return to the Patriots, or the NFL entirely.
New England’s season came to a close on Saturday after a difficult loss to Tennessee at home 20-13. This is the first time since 2010 that the Patriots won’t advance to at least the AFC Championship game.
But as Brady took to the podium, questions of the game seemed like background noise to those of his future.
“I love the Patriots”, Brady said. “This is the greatest organization and playing for Mr. (Robert) Kraft all these years, and for coach (Bill) Belichick. There’s nobody whose had a better career, I would say, than me- just being with them. So, I’m very blessed. I don’t know what the future looks like so I’m not going to predict it. I wish we would have won tonight. I wish we would have done a lot of things better over the course of the season. We just didn’t get the job done.”

“I would say it’s pretty unlikely (I retired)”, Brady added. “Hopefully, unlikely.”
Coach Bill Belichick was in no mood to talk about Brady’s future. “Right now we just finished the game, so we’re focused on this game, okay? I mean, really.”
The football world will await a Brady decision, although it may not come for some time. What is for sure, is the speculation and debate around this future Hall of Famer until his decision is finally revealed.
