VIDEO EXCLUSIVE: US Olympic Skier Gus Schumacher On Climate Change, Future Of Winter Games

Team USA cross-country skier, Gus Schumacher, is ready to hit the slope this year in his first-ever Olympic Games.

Schumacher is interested in the impact that climate change is having on his sport, and is worried about what it might mean for the future.

“It’s really scary to all of us, especially as winter athletes to see these changes happen,” he said.

He went on to say that if things continue as they have been, he’s afraid that we might not be able to have a winter Olympics in a few years.

Schumacher is one of the many young athletes who will be entering the games for the first time this year.
