Two-time Olympian Tucker West will be returning to the games as a part of Team USA‘s luger team in this year’s Beijing Olympics.
Despite difficulties inflicted on the sport by the covid pandemic, West’s training went well and he is ready to compete in the games.
“Training this year has been going well,” he said. “I feel strong from the off-season and I’ve been excited with how things are feeling on the sled so I’m looking forward to these upcoming weeks getting to China for the first time.”
West went on to say that normally an Olympic team would see the track they are competing on far in advance, which makes this Olympics different because they saw the track shortly before the games began.
West also believes that Team USA has strong team synergy, which makes them likely to win medals in future competitions.
