Jalen Green Leaves 4 Minutes Into Game With Right Knee Injury – Suns Still Beat Mavericks 112-107

The Phoenix Suns defeated the Dallas Mavericks 112-107 despite Jalen Green missing the second half.

Green limped into the locker room during the first quarter. The team later announced he had suffered a right knee injury. There was optimism he’d play the second half, but he ultimately sat out the rest of the game.

Green only recorded one rebound in four minutes before getting injured. Devin Booker led the way for the Suns with 37 points, while Dillon Brooks was also a factor with 28 points. Green wasn’t the only starter who got injured for the Suns. Forward Jordan Goodwin only played 13 minutes before leaving the game with a left ankle injury. Goodwin scored nine points.

The Mavericks got surprising production from John Poulakidas. He scored 23 points to lead the Mavericks and set a career high. This was just his 11th NBA game. His previous career-high was 11 points against the Milwaukee Bucks. Marvin Bagley III also scored 20 points. Bagley III was part of the trade that sent Anthony Davis to the Washington Wizards. This was his fourth time scoring 20 or more points with the Mavericks.

Green and Goodwin are currently listed as game-time decisions for the April 10 game against the Los Angeles Lakers. Grayson Allen, Haywood Highsmith and Mark Williams are also listed as game-time decisions. None of those three played in the game against the Mavericks.

The Suns only have two more regular-season games left. They will play their regular-season finale on April 12 against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

However, they have already clinched the No. 7 seed in the Western Conference. This means they will play in the play-in tournament. They will play the Los Angeles Clippers or Portland Trail Blazers, depending on who gets the No. 8 seed.
