Triple H Demolishes Roman Reigns On ‘Monday Night Raw’
Triple H and Roman Reigns aren’t scheduled to face off until April 3 at Wrestlemania XXXII at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Tex.
The King of Kings decided to accelerate their showdown by intervening in Reigns’ match against Sheamus during Monday Night Raw in Detroit last night.
After a back and forth match that included fighting off an assault from The League of Nations — a supergroup comprised of Alberto Del Rio, King Barret, Rusev, and The Celtic Warrior himself-Reigns looked to be on his way to defeating his longtime nemesis.

That was when it went all downhill, cue Motorhead’s “The Game,” and enter HHH.
As the current WWE World Heavyweight Champion made his way down the entrance ramp, a clearly exhausted Reigns slid under the ropes to quickly engage in a brawl.
After trading blows nonstop for about 20 seconds, Reigns slammed HHH into the barricade. Taking a brief respite, Reigns was punched and then thrown back into the ring by Triple H. Before the champion could enter though Reigns countered with a superman punch and followed that by slamming Triple H into the timekeeper’s area.
HHH answered by slamming the bell into Reigns’ throat. The next two and half minutes were a straight up evisceration of The Big Dog by the champ. After the bell, Reigns was slung onto the announcers’ table and then had his head repeatedly slammed into it, only 23 times.
Triple H followed that by holding Reigns down and punching his battered and bleeding face. HHH finished his opponent by pushing aside six referees and additional medical personnel trying to tend to Reigns and performing a Pedigree on the steel steps. The champ put an exclamation point by doing his signature “Suck It” pose to celebrate his victory.
Other highlights from ‘Raw’ include The Usos quickly defeating The Ascension after the latter ambushed the former while The Dudley Boyz were taunting The Usos’ about their father, Rikishi. The Usos finished off their attackers with a super kick from Jimmy Uso on Konnor, followed by a double super kick with Jey on Viktor.
Chris Jericho and AJ Styles easily defeated Heath Slater and Curtis Axel. Jericho finished off Axel with The Walls of Jericho, forcing Axel to tap out.
Dean Ambrose was viciously attacked by Brock Lesnar before the show aired. As Lesnar and Paul Heyman were asking for a new opponent for The Beast Incarnate, since it appeared Ambrose would not be able to recover from his beatdown, Ambrose drove an ambulance into the arena and declared he and Lesnar face off a Wrestlemania in a No Holds Bar match.
Shane McMahon returned to the show and was able to book himself a Hell in a Cell match with Undertaker at Wrestlemania. If McMahon wins, he will get Raw, while if he loses he has to hand over a box of secrets to his father, Vince and sister, Stephanie.
Sasha Banks and Naomi also squared off. The match was quickly interrupted by Becky Lynch, and while Naomi was distracted by Lynch, Banks pulled off a Bank Statement for the quick tap out.
The WWE Tag Team Champions, The New Day won a six man, high flying melee against Neville and The Lucha Dragons. While Calisto and Neville had the upper hand against Big E and Xavier Woods out of the ring, Kofi Kington caught Sin Cara with a “Trouble in Paradise” while Cara was adjusting his mask, for the pin.
