Tom Brady Still Hasn’t Been Contacted By The Patriots For Free Agency

As the NFL offseason continues, the six-time Super Bowl Champion quarterback Tom Brady has yet to be contacted by New England Patriots to resign with the team during free agency.

The NFL will never be the same if we see Brady in a different uniform. Now, it is looking more possible that this will happen. Free agency is uncharted territory for the legendary quarterback since he has been with the Patriots for the past 20 seasons – an NFL record for most seasons with any team for a quarterback. Brady was reportedly set to meet with the Patriots at the combine, but that has not been confirmed yet. If the Patriots decided to move forward without former MVP,  they’ll have to take a risk in the trade market to find a quarterback such as Ryan Tannehill or Andy Dalton. They also have the option to deploy their back-up quarterback Jarrett Stidham. The Patriots can start him next season and develop a quarterback from this year’s draft.

However, Brady is completely open to entering free agency in March. Even though there is a belief in Brady’s circle that the Patriots will still convince the former Super Bowl Champion to stay, Brady is looking at different NFL teams with the possibility of departing from his 20 year home. The quarterback cannot begin negotiating with other teams until the NFL’s legal tampering period opens March 16. Yet the Las Vegas Raiders, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Los Angeles Chargers have shown interest in the 42-year-old.

Wherever Brady decides to take his talents, it will be the headline story of the NFL. Brady is a three-time NFL MVP and four-time Super Bowl MVP. He has led the league in touchdown passes four times and is one of only four quarterbacks to throw for more than 70,000 yards.
