American tennis player Jarmere Jenkins made headlines after his Monday loss to Canada’s Philip Bester. With the match deep in a third set tiebreaker, Jenkins hit an unforced error giving Bester a 7-6 lead.

As a result, his frustrations boiled over as he proceeded to slam his racket over his knee three times, with the third impact successfully breaking it in half.

After his Bo Jackson like feat, Jenkins would go on to lose the tiebreaker 8-6 and the match 6-2, 2-6, 7-6.

The former ITA National Player of the Year and ACC Athlete of the Year has had some difficulties adjusting to the professional life. Still, at the end of 2014 — which was his first full year as a pro — he was able to break the top 200 at 193: an accomplishment that few can claim.
