Shohei Ohtani Gets MRI On Pitching Arm After Disastrous Showing

Anaheim Angels’ DH/Pitcher Shohei Ohtani is going to get an MRI on his pitching arm after telling the team that he was experiencing discomfort. Ohtani, who got Tommy John surgery almost two years ago, returned to the mound recently and had a disastrous showing by walking three batters and allowing three other hits before getting pulled.

While the Angels’ will be able to replace him, the team is definitely on the ropes with Mike Trout away on paternity leave and possibly not coming back after the birth of his first child and the recent outbreaks on the Cardinals and Marlins. Here’s hoping that Ohtani is okay and can return to the team soon but with the state of baseball it may be healthier for him if he can find a legitimate excuse to stay away.
