Saints Sign Ex-Cowboys WR Dez Bryant: NFL Reacts To Big Free-Agent One-Year Deal

The New Orleans Saints (7-1) signed former Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant to a one-year deal on Wednesday, thus continuing to bolster a juggernaut offensive attack.

Dez Signs One Year Deal With Saints, NFL Reacts

The free agent was dealt a one-year contract that will pay him $600,000 on base salary for the rest of the season, and he has the ability to earn an additional $500,000 in incentives. Some of Bryant’s former teammates and other NFL contemporaries congratulated the wideout, proud that he finally got a chance with another team. Bryant was released by the Cowboys in April after eight years, and said at the time the move wasn’t his decision.

New teammate Lance Moore tweeted out his excitement for Bryant, among many Saints that welcomed the big red-zone target.

Even the NBA stepped out to commemorate Bryant’s big signing.


 

The Saints’ first game with Bryant comes this Sunday in Cincinnati against the Bengals.
